Alsoors day be day becomes more and more popular. With a population of about 1300 people, Alsoors is a small and rather old village, located at the foot of Somlyo hill among the vineyards, which spread form Balatonalmadi to Balonfured on the north shore of Lake Balaton. Quiet in winter, elegant in spring, attractive and charming in summer and autumn – it is all about Alsoors.

Locals respect and appreciate their past: they honor the memory of their heroes, who took part in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, and do not forget about the famous Hungarian poet Sándor EndrÅ‘di. They take care of local sights: church, decorated in Gothic and Baroque style, medieval Gothic mansion, better known as Törökház.

The best time to visit Alsoors is spring. At this season Alsoors beauty of nature is similar to the French Rivera, the whole village is in blossom.

Alsoors today is a hospitable resort with a vast sandy beach, calm and quite water of Balaton and with all the necessary conditions for recreation. Many houses and cottages in Alsoors, built from local red sandstone and decorated according medieval traditions, are a unique business card of this resort village. In 2003 Alsoors village beach was considered to be the best on the north shore of Lake Balaton.

Night life fans will also find what to do in Alsoors. Especially for them there are pubs, bars, restaurants and the biggest night club in Lake Balaton region. And one of the most interesting summer events - International Harley-Davidson Festival is taking place in mid-June.

Autumn in Alsoors gives you a chance to enjoy the best local wines. Yellow nutmeg and Riesling SCOPAK should be tasted by everyone, just because they belong to the repeatedly awarded wines of this region.
